US Sailing: The Educational Opportunity
Nancy Glover

Picture
US Sailing is not just about rules. The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS) that every one studies so intently are just a few pages of a book that's filled with directives for organizers, officers, and participants in the sport of yacht racing. But that’s not the end of what is available from US Sailing either. Whether you’re a first-time sailor or an experienced  instructor, there's an educational opportunity for everyone. This class will explore how you get access to the knowledge of sailors across the country and how US Sailing can help make you the best and safest operator you can be -- whether racing or cruising, from tell tales to anchoring, from  organizing a regatta to organizing a bareboat charter. And did we mention the discounts?

Nancy is an avid racer, owning and campaigning her J /105, J /70, and Laser locally and nationally. She is a US Sailing National Judge. She is also a frequent speaker and seminar leader on the racing rules of sailing for training and certifying judges and assisting racers. Professionally, Nancy is a CPA and an attorney. She is an Ernst and Young retired partner in International Tax Services. Her company, Copley Square Tax Group, provides tax consultation to tax exempt entities including yacht clubs, sailing schools, and community sailing organizations.
