What to Look for When Buying a Boat
Cindy Kalow

Picture
Take a walk down any dock in any marina and you’ll soon discover there are as many options of sailboats as there are flavors of ice cream. It’s also apparent there is no ‘perfect’ boat and what one person thinks is a ‘must have’ option may be on another person’s ‘never consider this’ list. Should you consider only used boats or are new boats worth it? Buying a boat is both an emotional and intellectual process and if you’re doing it with a partner, you’ve just double up on both fronts! Spend time in this seminar sorting through the options and gain valuable insight into the boat buying process.

Cindy Kalow has been a sailor for over 25 years. In 2004, she left her corporate job in the Twin Cities to pursue a dream with her husband of raising their family on the shores of Lake Superior. Combining a love of boating and a passion for the Apostle Islands, Cindy operates Superior Charters and Superior Yacht Sales in Bayfield, WI. Prior to owning Superior Charters, Cindy spent nearly 20 years in the technology and consulting industry, consulting with organizations of various sizes and structures including start-ups, fortune 500 and non-profit organizations.
